Help children who live and work on the street
General Information of the institution
GLC has joined together with MAMA, a private non-profit Institution founded
in 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. MAMA, A.C. (Movement to Support Abandoned
Minors) was created by a cross section of people, men and women, professionals,
house wives, educators, executives, and managers united for a common cause:
to provide a future for seriously disadvantaged children who live and/or work
on the street.
MAMA A.C. accepts volunteers with an intermediate level
of Spanish. Because relationships are built with children, a minimum of three
weeks stay is required. Students who are interested in voluntering
should check the volunteer box on the application form.

Their Mission
Through assistance and educational programs, their aim is to defend, protect and improve the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused children who live and/or work on the street.
They focus on

MAMA, A.C. IS NOT A PROMISE, BUT A REALITY… WHICH PROTECTS, SOOTHES, CURES, NOURISHES, AND EDUCATES CHILDREN.
They act through assistance and educational programs which promote awareness, decision making, participation and organization.
